APC-VMEX - High Performance Multi-Protocol Communications Controller

The APC-VMEX features an LAPB co-processor on each of two physical channels to perform X.25 error correction and flow control. Each channel has software selectable RS-232C, RS-449/422, and X.21 electrical interface. Other features include 128K of dual ported static RAM for frame buffering and digital phase locked loop circuitry for back-to-back connection. The APC-VMEX is suitable for applications demanding the highest performance with minimum burden on the host CPU. Adax offers LAPB and HDCL drivers for the APC-VMEX, as well as X.25, and Frame Relay for IRIX 5.2.
